    Cheshire – 21st January 1978 (Part 1)

    On the 21st January 1978 British Rail ran a “Farewell to Class 44” railtour from Nottingham to Manchester (via Woodhead), Crewe Chester and Wolverhampton using 44009 (Nottingham – Crewe) and 44008 (Crewe – Nottingham). The weather on the day was wet, misty and miserable and started for me in the early hours at Crewe trying my hand at a bit of night photography. Feedback and comments welcome.

The weather on the day was wet, misty and miserable and after spending the night at Crewe trying my hand at a bit of night photography I am now waiting in the drizzle and mist at Cheadle Hulme.
