    The Chiltern Model Railway Association is holding its annual model railway exhibition on Saturday and Sunday, 15th-16th January 2011 at The Alban Arena, Civic Centre, St Albans AL1 3LD.

    Open in parallel with the CMRA exhibition is St Albans South Signal Box (from 10am-4pm) on both the Saturday and Sunday.

    We're at the bottom of the station carpark in Ridgmont Road, off Victoria Street, 170yards from Platform 4 exit of St Albans City Station - see www.sigbox.co.uk for location map.

    Visit this, the largest Midland Railway box in preservation and the only one in its original working position next to a busy main line and open to the public.

    View our collection of signalling and railway items, see film of the box in use in 1979 shortly before closure and a slideshow of the restoration work.
    Upstairs we'll be running our signalling demonstration on the lever frame.

    Light refreshments will be available; also on sale we have two limited edition 00 gauge wagons with St Albans connections and 2011 calenders with photos of the box.

    FREE ENTRY and a souvenir Edmundson card ticket for each visitor - your donations are always welcome, of course!
