Sounds like it has the makings of a good line-up!

What are the chances of getting an industrial loco in, to support the 'big players'? Having "Ring Haw" last year was an inspired choice, that certainly brought you plenty of extra visitors - especially for its full line run. I know that industrials don't have the 'glamour' factor, but maybe one to think about...?

Watch this space. The planners are doing their best to satisfy as many people as they can so shall await what they come up with. Agreed though that Ring Haw did bring something different to the gala all in a positive way.

Will the CVR be running a night shoot on the Sat Night, and have lineside passes available? It sounds like a very interesting line up.

Hopefully there may be an industrial attenting but of the foreign variety!

Lineside passes will be available for the weekend, Im not too sure about the night shoot this year however there are a number of charters in planning with both 71000 and 80072 that will be a mix of day, night and day/ night charters.

    Regards

    Chris

How old do you have to be to get a lineside permit?

    How much are lineside passes?

That was my guess too, bearing in mind availability and loading gauge issues... Unless Tinkerbell will be done by then?

Will these charters come through the usual charter organisers or straight from the railway?

    Cheers
    Jon.

Cannot say if it will all be the same this time but to give you an idea, information about the lineside passes on offer at the last gala is available at the bottom of this page. The downloadable form states a minimum age of 18.

    The GUV

In the charter with 80072 on mixed goods would it be possible for the original GUV W86500 to take part or will it still not be restored by then. It would be a terrific attraction.

Nice, 80072 first visit to another heritage railway after it's long restoration. And with 71000 being there, looks like a trip to Staffordshire is planned!
