P way today were engaged on track maintenance tasks around Consall, repairing dips in the track and dipped joints. So hard work most of the day but breaks every so often caused by the service train going up and down.

No I do not currently volunteer
I can see my arm in there :D

Lovely bark and a good deal prettier than it's American counterpart, just a shame that the Tkh loves to throw coal at you! :p

Sorry, some sort of systems glitch has repeated my message multiple times. Neil L's message above seems to have suffered the same fate. weird..

Good to see an update on the CVR website. Whilst there I looked at the 'locomotives' page. Perhaps needs a bit of an update there to include the TKh and remove the locos shown as in service.

A few photos from Wednesday showing the stripped down S3492 with the 2 main restorers on the work, Brian, this was a rarity, he's actually got a smile on his face and Martin. Also 2 photos of the TKh passing the boxes at Cheddleton and Consall.

I last updated that page, with Martin doing the diesel side of things. Since we originally did it things have obviously changed. Shall look at getting it changed but shifts and sickness are defeating me atm!

Overwork is probably the cause - take it easy for a day or two. Will be good to see an update but don't kill yourself.

Looking at the Cheddleton webcam, 69621 appears to be in steam in the yard. Does this indicate that it might be in use on Sunday?

If the paperwork comes through in time, possibly.
