    Evening all

I have added a large collection of one of the first class’s of Irish Diesels given to me by David Heath the
CIE & IR A Class later Class 001 (Metropolitan Vickers with a Crossley HSTV8 1200HP engine replaced by GM12-645E 1325 hp)

Of interest to UK enthusiasts is the engine in the original class as well as being built manufactured by Metropolitan-Vickers at their Dukinfield Works in Manchester the engine of course was the same one as fitted into the poor performing Co-Bo class 28, Unlike there British counterparts the Irish replaced the engine with a GM one, the EMD12-645E

All the photos are of the re-engined GM locos exept this one of

Other photos of interest include a couple withdrawn through bomb damage
