I'm not sure where it originated from but I saw the same passing through Skipton earlier this afternoon - around 15:00.

I know this may be a daft question, but wouldn't it have been easier to take the painters to the loco rather than the loco to the painters? (Or does Carnforth have some sort of hi-tech paint shop?)

Carnforth's paint shop was available and NRM's has a coach in at the moment. The work at WCRC is first class by the way.

thanks Anthony, love the sound 37's make, might just make it, bit skint at the moment but if there's a bus and I can pitch a tent somewhere, its possible, the saturday morning start up sounds great.
