I have just heard about the miniature railway near me, It ran from Manor Farm Claxton to the R Yare for agricultural goods to be transported by Wherrys to Cantley Sugarbeet factory. It operated around the 1900s and was extended a mile south of Manor farm aswell. The bottom stub is now a public footpath and the northern part runs though Jonny Depp's garden (I'm serious, it does) and up through the marshes.

Any more info on this line?

“Industrial Locomotives of East Anglia”, published by the Industrial Railway Society, says it was laid in 1926 for the transport of sugar beet. It was of 2ft gauge, and closed circa 1936. Motive power was a converted Model-T Ford combined with a V-skip. A photograph of said “loco” appeared in The Narrow Gauge 108, August 1985.
