For the narrow minded amongst us, some shots of our visit to Durango Silverton Railroad in Summer 2013. This is the other remaining arm of the once extensive 3 foot system in this area, compliments the CATS shots I posted a few weeks ago. Paid a flying visit to this railway many years ago. Unfortunately it was a complete failure on our part as we arrived the day after the service finished for the season! DOH!

As well as a couple of days photography we did the obligatory ride, my wife (readily) persuaded me to stump up for the tail end observation car. The day of the trip was bad news, the car had run hot and was tuck half way up the line in a siding, the good news, they substituted the rarely used Directors saloon car "Nomad" complete with kitchen and staff! Drinks and snacks in both directions, wonderful day.
