    Yes I am an active volunteer
    I have a query - production HST power cars had fixed buckeye couplers and no buffers at the inner end. 41001 has a drophead coupler and buffers. Is this original or a retrofit to enable it to be moved by non buckeye locos. I am aware that front buffers were fitted to 41001 from new and omited from most production power cars but retrofitted to power cars used as DVT.

    Is the HST power car working yet ?

    I saw its moving around a few places, Swanage, Didcot anything up north, ELR perhaps ?
