Hopefully 46115 can get 3rd time lucky for the Cotton Mill express on Sat 17th July

Times i should imagine as the aborted 13th Feb tour (i do stand corrected though)

Tickets arrived today. No mention of a diesel being used.

Timings as per the previous aborted trips.

    Anyone else on this?

I think I will be out at Astley Crossing for the outward run, I have a busy day so may just catch the return somewhere else along the Manchester-Liverpool line. I will update the forum by text. I would have liked to have travelled on this one but have other comitments in the middle of the day. I recieved an email earlier in the week from RTC offering me a fiver discount as well.. :frown:

I saw this at Culcheth in the rain. Just coasting past. I got an update ok from Wigan, thanks to whoever sent that in. I will probably be out along the Manchester-Liverpool line for the return this evening.

friend on board phoned earlier to say she failed with middle cylinder probs, sounded like she was working on one and a half on copy pit so he said, but this is just his observations not fact.

Very odd since I have had a text at 14.40 'Up Miles Platting going well'?? Sorry should have been 15.40, but spoken to the person concerned, he saw her in Vic then went up to Platting and she came through seemingly without any bother.

Yes, update on railtour live confirms that they got her repaired :)

It would seem she's less than 30 minutes down departing Manchester

In the group of waiting photographers at Lydgate (on way to Diggle) at 15.15, when one guy got a phone call from someone off the train - " Loco failed, passengers off and told to make their own way back". Another call a few minutes latter said its gone up to Castleton Sidings (on the L&Y) to get it out of Man. Vic. and allow for inspection. We passed there on the M62 at 15.45, the stock was there but no sight of the loco. Speculation: loco either behind stock or gone onto the ELR for attention?
