County gets £4.8m towards museum

    Somerset has been awarded £4.8m from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) towards the cost of restoring Taunton Castle and creating a Museum of Somerset.

    The county council wants to create a "modern museum which will tell the story of Somerset, from prehistoric times to the present".
