DANIEL ADAMSON PRESERVATION SOCIETY – “THE BIRKENHEAD DOCKER”
    Saturday 26 October 2013

Due to popular demand and with the kind cooperation of Peel Ports and Mersey Ferries, the Daniel Adamson Preservation Society, working to restore the 110 year old Birkenhead built steam ship “Daniel Adamson” are delighted to once again offer a unique opportunity on our next fund-raising cruise.

This latest cruise will start inside Birkenhead Docks (Duke Street East Float) and will take in the various dock areas before locking out of Alfred Lock for a two-hour sail in the river. The start point will be the car park at Seacombe Ferry Terminal from where passengers will be taken by vintage bus to our embarkation point at Duke Street bridge. This will be the ONLY embarkation point and the trip will terminate at Seacombe river berth and will not call at either Wallasey or the Pier Head.

Shuttle buses will depart Seacombe from 11:30 with the last bus leaving at approx. 12:10 for a 12:30 departure from the dock berth. The cruise will terminate at Seacombe at 15:30.

Tickets are priced at £27.00 each which includes transport from Seacombe to Duke Street and are now available from the Mersey Ferries ticket office on 0151 330 1444. Payment can be made via credit/debit card and there is a 50p transaction charge (irrespective of the number of tickets ordered).

Demand as ever with DAPS charters is expected to be very high and you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
