    As I wasn't about at the time.....Would Darnall allocated B1's have worked services over the former GCR main line in the 1958-62 period?
    I'm guessing that they would have done but would be interested to hear for certain that they did.

    Many thanks - Will have a good look at that site later on and it looks worth joining as well from the amount of information on there!
    61047 is the particular member of the class I am interested in, which didn't end up at Darnall until December 1958, having spent a lot of time at Norwich/Lincoln/Peterborough beforehand.

    This was the reason for my interest.....

    Which, hopefully will be on its way to a suitable museum for display in the next few months!

    The moral of this is, if you have a collection of railwayana, make sure that you have made arrangements for its disposal after you have died and don't just leave it for "the family" (who most likely have no interest in such things), or others to sort out.....
