DB Schenker inks distribution deal with Neste Oil

DB Schenker has won a domestic and international distribution contract with Finnish fuel company Neste Oil.

Under the terms of the deal, DB Schenker will also store around 5,000 pallets of ‘lubrication oils, greases, car care and household chemicals’ at its warehouse in Nurmijärvi, Finland.

Outside of Finland, much of the export activity will centre around Russia and Ukraine. Prior to this agreement, DB Schenker signed a deal with Neste Oil Russia to store imported products at a site in St Petersburg.

Tero Järvinen, head of lubricants and packed products business at Neste Oil, said: “We wanted a reliable, environmentally-conscious, safe company to support us in growing our businesses in selected markets. DB Schenker is now part of our operations in our two key markets.

“We believe our journey together has only just begun and that our cooperation will deepen and expand as time goes on.”
