Has to be one of the more interesting items' DBS has offered for sale in some time..

question is where / how did they find / end up with it nearly 30 years after the last Deltics ran in service ?
Are there any depots left that used to be Deltic servicing depots, let alone in EWS use ? FP, GD, YK, HA, DR, AB ?

May be next they'll put up some Castle spare parts from OC ?

I wonder if the NRM know about this ?

I read somewhere (wnxx?) that it had been used as a heater in Doncaster.

Doncaster Carr -part of the central heating system.

Radiators now required by NRM for 55002 to replace it's current 'holy'' ones,if that loco is to run again on two power units without expensive replacements having to be manufactured.

I've been looking for a new heated towel rail for our bathroom - maybe this is the answer?

I understand the NRM have "found" their originals from 55002 so there no longer on the shopping list.

NRM now have a set of radiators-however:

1)Not sure they are all ex 55002.

2)Unfortunately water flows out of holes, and one set has many.
