Devon Diesel Society D7535 running day on the Dartmouth Railway 27/04/14.

On Sunday the 27th April the Devon Diesel Society are running the Dartmouth Steam Railway's Class 25 D7535. The event is called the 'Seaside Sluzer 2' (carrying on from last years event) it will be the first time D7535 will haul a passenger service in its new livery. I believe the DDS are also running one of the 25s on the South Devon line the day before, so should be a good weekend of 25 action.

What is the new livery, please?

 

Not sure what the livery is yet, it has been kept quiet by the DSR and the DDS. They were asking people to guess on their Facebook Page a few weeks back but as of yet no one knows.

 

Day Rover tickets valid on the steam trips that day too or not?

 

Just a slight correction, the 25 running on the Saturday at Buckfastliegh is owned by South Devon Diesel Traction and is rostered motive power for the day - one of the regular diesel running days on the SDR this year. Day Rovers are available and I'll check about being valid on the steam service, but as the DSR are selling the tickets direct this year, I would expect the answer to be yes but will advise in due course. The repaint of D7535 is progressing well with the DSR staff undertaking most of the work. The DDS team have been in to Churston and have fitted headcode blinds to the loco, and will return shortly to undertake a few other smaller jobs. Livery - keep guessing....

 

D7535 is going into BR Blue! It will make a nice change to its previous two tone green livery which it's been carrying for the last 25 years or so.

 

Is it known about day rovers yet? Hope to see 7827 out along with D7535!

Quiet bad it's only valid on the 25, how about £20 if you want to do both or something.
