Found this cover image today from the October 1970 Railway Magazine of the Llanberis Lake Railway's 'Dolbadarn' presumably on test before the railway opened. However as far as I know, Dolbadarn has always had a dome/ safety valves over the saddle tank since it has run in preservation (it had a domeless one at the end of it's quarry days according to Cliff Thomas's Quarry Hunslets book). Evidently it must have been steamed on it's pre-preservation boiler on the Lake Railway and then been re-boilered before the line opened in 1971 unless someone knows differently?
