As 'Dorothea' has come up in discussion here recently, here is a photo taken today of her backhead, showing the pipework etc. that has recently been fitted.

As can be seen she is nearing completion and it is possible she may be steamed later this year; however if she is it is unlikely she will be used on public trains until next year at the earliest.

Further updates on Dorothea will of course be available on our website and our facebook page.

This month's edition of Narrow Gauge News reports Dorothea was due a boiler inspection in July. I've checked the LSR website and there has been no mention of Dorothea since April - any updates?

She had an initial visit from the boiler inspector in mid-July for a dry inspection. There's still plenty of work left before she moves, but Kay hopes to have her out next year at some point - hopefully! When there's some news it will be on the website.
