Passengers were treated to an added bonus yesterday afternoon. No 8 Llywelyn was on test after winter maintenance and made a guest appearance double heading with No 9 Prince of Wales from Capel Bangor to Aberystwyth.

This is an exceptionally rare occasion when two Rheidol tanks have worked together on one train. It has been at least 20 years since something like this was last seen!

Maybe we'll go to Devil's Bridge one day!

The new shed is looking good as well. That will be some workshop space when it is done.

It will be a considerable improvement on the very basic facilities we have at present. A lot of hard work has been going on on the project behind the scenes for many years. Still a fair way to go with the build but it is progressing nicely. I look forward to moving in!

That workshop has all the makings of being the most modern in the heritage scene. It looks very nice indeed
