    The Severn Valley Railway are pleased to announce that visiting Class 55 ‘Deltic’ No. 55002 ‘The King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry’ will be operating Footplate Experiences, courtesy of the National Railway Museum, on Tuesday 1st October.

    A first for the SVR, this will be your only chance to take the controls of a ‘Deltic’ along Severn Valley metals driving No. 55002, under supervision, for 8 miles between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth on one of Britain's premier heritage railways, and be second man for a further 8 miles for £350.
