    Summer Diesel Weekend, 1 – 3 July

    A weekend that should be in your diary! Don’t miss the opportunity to see some of the UK’s best preserved Diesel locomotives. Widely acclaimed as the best Diesel extravaganza of any British heritage railway, this year’s Diesel Gala promises to be bigger and better than in previous years.

    This years gala stars: 20048, D6586 (33201), D182 (46045), 50049 with further guest locomotive to be confirmed.

    Home fleet locomotives include 20087, 33109, 37109, 37518, 37901, D1501, 50015, D9016, 55022.

    There will also be a Beer Ex on Saturday 2nd July. All locos subject to availability, no pre booking required. Special event fares apply.

    If I don't get rostered at Llangollen on that weekend, I may pay a visit. Not seen a Deltic in action yet.
