This weekend is the 25th anniversary celebrations of Lakeside so please follow the link for details of the events planned. All available loco's will be in operation at some point and special trains will run at the end of the day on both Saturday & Sunday.

Loco roster's are available at the bottom of the page and day rover tickets with unlimited rides can be purchased on the day of attendance.

Thanks for the photos and clips folks. Couldn't get there... dammit!!

My one and (so far) only visit about 20 years ago was back when working 'on the road', I finished my last call of the day in Eastleigh and decided to call in to see what I could see on a non-running day. One of the members happened to be on site, and I was most kindly treated to a guided tour of the sheds. A very impressive loco stud back then. I loved the half scale 'Ratty' loco "Sir Arthur Heywood"... a very impressive little machine, and I'd like to visit again, particularly to make the acquaintance of the Dove "Coronation", which features in a couple of black and white photos taken by my late mother during it's time in Christchurch (Dorset) over 60 years ago.

The railway is open every weekend, every public holiday and everyday of the school holiday's so feel free to pop in, if you've not been in 20 years then I think you'll be surprised as to how much it's changed!
