    The Deltics Return!

    Thanks to the cooperation of both the Deltic Preservation Society and the National Railway Museum East Lancashire Railway is hosting another Deltic Gathering on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September 2012.

    Following on from the huge success of the Deltic theme event held in 2011, the railway is proud to be staging a further gathering of the iconic class of diesel locos which will include:

    * Resident locos D9016 Gordon Highlander and 55022 Royal Scots Grey

    * Deltic Preservation Society's D9009 Alycidon and 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier

    * National Railway Museum's 55002 Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry

    The weekend will see a special timetable and all locos will be hauling scheduled passenger trains on both days. Further timetable details will be released nearer the time.

    Tickets will be available on the day but pre-booking is recommended. Tickets will be available online within the next few weeks so watch this space for further details.
