Only a couple of weeks to go before the annual diesel mega-gala at Bury, plenty of visiting loco's and re-liveries (although NMR has cried off their two visitors). Full details:

Two days photting, one day traveling, the weather will dictate. The missus and me are on the diesel diner on Friday evening, so should be a good weekend. Looking forward to the Class 31's, memories of these coming through Bury Knowsley Street in the 1960's on Sheffield (area) - Blackpool bucket and spade jobs on Bank Holiday Mondays (previously in kettle days 41C Millhouses Jubilees!).
Have a great weekend if you can get here.

Fantastic gala inspite of Saturday's timetable falling apart. Friday was excellent. The prize for noise goes to the hymek. The run it made on the Beerex to Heywood is probably the best ride I've ever had behind a diesel and possibly the loudest sound I've ever heard and I've been to a few airshows and I'm a drummer in a rock band. The prize for clag goes to D9009 (oddly enough). The double peds were outstanding. 47580 put on a show on the Saturday night Beerex and even did some chirping, which I've never heard first-hand before. Well done, lads. Roll on the 14s!
