As used in the 350 hp Diesel-Electric shunters. 'LMS Locomotive Profiles' No. 12 (by Wild Swan Publications) quotes a compression ratio of 30 : 1 which I regard as unrealistic, possibly unobtainable. I would regard a figure of more in the region of 15 : 1 as being nearer the mark. Does anyone know?

That sounds a more sensible figure. Thanks for the info.
