    Disapointing news from MiddlePeak Railways – there was recently a theft of all cooler group elements (the same as Class 08) from our loco NS685, currently stored at MRC Swanwick Jct. This will have occurred over the last month or so. The Police has been informed & are investigating. There is CCTV onsite so we are hopeful that the delightful individuals will be caught & rewarded appropriately.
    The radiator grills were re-closed after the theft & it has thus disguised theft until now when we re-started commissioning work on it – it appears like a theft to order.
    Any further leads welcomed – has anyone been recently offered a set of 2 oil & 7 coolant (in very good condition)??
