Work continues apace at North Weald. The track has been lifted from Kiln Road Bridge, through North Weald station to a point east of the public footpath. The exposed track bed has been lowered to its original height between both points. Ballast salvaged form Custom House is being mechanically cleaned on site prior to being re-laid on the re-graded formation.

Refurbishment of the signalling line-side cabinets continues and the installation of electrical equipment has commenced prior too location upon the reinstatement of the permanent way.

Refurbishment of North Weald station is making excellent progress. The side addition constructed during the 1950’s has been demolished and the resultant exposed brickwork repaired and re-pointed to a high standard. The 1950’s prefabricated westbound platform is undergoing repair and extension. Original pre-cast components have been used for patterns to ensure that the platform extension remains uniform too the original. The exterior and interior of North Weald station have undergone thorough refurbishment including replacement of missing and damaged joinery, re-plumbing, re-wiring, plastering and painting. All work undertaken has been completed to an exacting standard.

The refurbishment of North Weald station's interior in being undertaken to a very high standard. Work undertaken includes replacement of damaged and missing joinery, re-wiring, plumbing, plastering and painting.



The ballast salvaged from Custom House is being mechanically cleaned and graded prior to laying on the formation.
