    The Iranian Ministry of Roads and Transport announced that contracts of EUR 17 Billion have been signed with foreign investors in order to stimulate the companies that activate in the railway industry. "If these project are initiated, the country's railway network will increase by 10.000 km", said minister Hamid Behbahani.     It is interesting - however, Iran has been 'out of steam' for many years. I suppose that with being a major oil producer, the diesel will reign supreme. I'd rather they spent money on railways than on nuclear weapons!

    Is it any wonder that Admin sometimes gets annoyed when a comments like that are made, some people seem to live in such a narrow blinkered world, so when something is posted that is slightly outside their normal sphere of life, and because they do not see the relevance, it is cast aside as worthless.     i was referring to (and have been taken to task by Admin and have apologised for my comment) the fact it is posted in International HERITAGE railways section. Clearly it is in the wrong section. (Imho of course)
