EX Schools class tenderframe at Selinge

HI, we have an ex southern region snow plow based on a schools class tender , we have just removed the wheel sets and are intending to have whats left cut up for scrap the wheel sets appear to be in good condition with good tyres the axle boxes are being used at Herston for a bullied tender, so are not availible, the chassis is bent, and corroded but might be usable but i understand that the wheel sets are ok so if anyone needs a spare set of tender wheels, minus axle boxes pm me and i will put you in touch with the organiser

 

Martin: It might be worthwhile communicating this information to those Heritage lines that have Southern engines --and tenders--who might be interested in a spare set. The Mid-Hants, Bluebell and NYMR come to mind.

 

I had thought of that, the NYMR S15's are fitted with bogie tenders, unless they want to turn out 30830 as an South eastern section engine it wouldnt be worth asking, but if anyone on here has the ear to either of the Bluebelle or NYMR Mechcanical eng heads if they can just let them know, the MHR, people i dont think would be interested, they do have a spare U class body on a fowler chassis, but its for 31625 which is owned by a third party and most likily wont be staying there , unless someone who knows the owner wants to inform him for future use?
