Speculation seems to favour 5690, but no definite information.

Ah glad you noticed the deliberate mistake, it should be Sept not aug.
yea I reckon most likely leander, but havn't seen 45231 for a while, was great to hear leander setting of from lancaster up the gradient on wednesday though, brilliant, could hear it for two or three minutes from the canal bridge, and to see an old boy on the tow path stop in his tracks until he could hear it no more, then go on his way with a smile on his face was a bonus.

Got a message from a person travelling on this train . He says WCRC say its Diesal hauled from Preston to Carnforth with a 6.43am departure from Preston (not 7.10am as per UK steam) - He doesnt know whats rostered either.
    Hope it helps

Thanks for that, just checked WCRC website, this is for 'The Lune Rivers Trust' formerly 'The Lune Habitat' and ONLY £49 STANDARD, for a day at the seaside, reminds me of Kingfisher prices, well done West Coast. was on holiday last week or would have booked, hadn't noticed it till I got back. was camping near forest of dean, video on you tube when I get round to it.

Dont get too excited, 45231 has been failed according to Mr Riley, re the Works website and 46115 is now in the hot seat for this trip.

Am I correct in thinking that this routed through Batley??
It looks like it on the way out, but not sure about on the way back?

Looks like you're getting mixed up with tomorrows tour 6/9/09 which I checked the map for and it passes through Batley and Morley looks like a long tunnel under Morley town.

    Dear All,

It has now got the stage in my life when I do not know what day it is.
    My apologies.
It is tomorrow and it does go through Batley at least once.
Brian - Morley tunnel is 4,320 yards long, starts at Howley just outside Batley and opens again at Morley Station.

It was approx. 35mins. late at Castleford and was then held at a signal check and one of the footplate crew had to trudge to the phone, which didn't help matters. (I was just passing) ;)
