Given this was the B1's first mainline outing for a long time, it would seem that I was right in my assumption that platforms, over bridges & available lineside spots would be popular!

Or not as the case maybe....... myself & a friend found ourselves surprising alone at our chosen location, which was to say the least made a pleasant change! :)

Our original plan was thwarted by the local authority closing the public foot crossing, no doubt due to the local kids playing chicken etc with the passing trains and or third rail....... so undeterred, plan B was put into action, and given the lack of light, I'm quite pleased with the result!

The link to the photo's can be found HERE...... I hope you enjoy! :)

No I do not currently volunteer
I would imagine there will be a bigger turn out for the trips at the weekend. Some of us have to go to work;-)
Looking forward to the lunchtime run. My first trip behind a B1. It will be interesting to compare her performance with my favourite Class 5 73096.
    Nice shots of the Bongo!

    Thank you very much! :)

I did wonder whether where I chose to go would be busy, as it turned out, it seems to be an over looked spot......... I was thinking if I could get there I would, as I was supposed to be working today, but a stubborn slow flat on the charabanc meant that I was able to, courtesy of a mate.

That said if it was a weekend, things might have been a lot different...........

I hope your "romantic" trip behind her goes well, as she looked & sounded good. ;)
