Well, that's another year nearly over - and, to bring the curtain down on 2008, I've just uploaded some 'linesiding' photographs of the post-Christmas F&WHR trains...

These can be found in my 'F&WHR - December 2008' collection...

I've managed to get through the whole month without taking a single photograph inside Boston Lodge Works, which makes a refreshing change - and it also means I've had plenty of exercise to work off the seasonal indulgences!

Luckily, I've been able to take advantage of the cold (but, unfortunately, snow-free) weather conditions - so there are plenty of atmospheric photographs!

Take a look - if you're interested, of course!

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda / Happy New Year to one and all...

And 2009 to look forward to - you aint seen nuffin yet!

As sterling becomes a third world currency so brits can't afford to travel abroad, this could be good though for steam railways in this country, as people still want to take holidays.

Some nice photos Roger. It's good to see you were able to get out and about and take the sun with you!

    Best wishes,

    Paul

    Thanks for the comments Paul...

Luckily, the sun stayed out for New Year's Day as well. So I was able to get photographs of the last day of WHR passenger services till March 28th.

The results can be found in my 'F&WHR - January 2009' collection...

Here's to much more 'linesiding' in 2009... promises to be a fascinating year!

Certainly does, what with Linda's boiler having had its hydraulic test, it may well get back on the ground this year!

Fine photographs, Roger. I don't suppose you have any on 29.12.08, do you? The conditions were identical and I was on the footplate with Mr. L.

    Regards,

    jtx

Thanks... sorry, no photos from 29th - I was on 'domestic' duties preparing for a parental visit! 8-[
