    FAST TICKET — a national ‘ticket on departure scheme’ at rail stations — is rolling out quickly.
    Currently there are over 60 dispensers in the scheme, due to increase significantly in 2006.

    In addition to FastTicket machines at stations, more business customers are demanding their own machines at key office locations. From the corporate perspective, travellers get their tickets easily even if it is a last minute booking, reports this week’s Air & Business Travel News.

    The Fast Ticket scheme has been developed by TheTrainline — a wholly owned subsidiary of Trainline Holdings Ltd, which is owned by Virgin Group (80.5%) National Express Group plc (14%) and Stagecoach Holdings plc (5.5%).
