Can't believe it's over a week already since i was there, here is the second part of the images:

Of course it wouldn't be right not to have shots of the steam vehicles strutting their stuff:

(I make no apologies for posting so many shots of this traction engine named 'Lord Nelson', she is a stunner!)

No. 31 'Sir Robert McAlpine & Sons' storms by the various artefacts:

This shot wasn't the best i took, but shows a locomotive normally hidden from the heritage scene getting a bit of limelight for a change, here she rolls back down centre of attention, the footbridge in the background originally came from Brading on the IoW whilst the signal box came from Shobnall Maltings, the station buildings not in view were saved from Somersham on the GER. One other interesting point is No. 31 carries the shed code 81M which is apparently unique to Fawley:

Visiting locomotive 'Sir Vincent' made a brief run along the short yard with a wagon:

No. 31 doing what she does best:

31 rolls down on another run:

My last views of No. 31 storming the gradient:

A last look at the vehicles on display:

No problem Corbs, sadly i didn't get a chance to ride the railway as when i went to buy a ticket at 11:30ish the next available slot was 4pm! I had to leave earlier than that. A brilliant day though with plenty to see, for what there was the £10 entry was an absolute bargain!

We got there late on the Sunday and they only charged us half price to get in. Couldn't get a ticket for the railway rides but stayed around after the official closure and were invited to join the volunteers for a freebie run! Took loads of pics too.

Lord and Lady McAlpine were the subject of a live broadcast with the lovely (!) Debbie McGee on Radio Berkshire yesterday. Apparently, over 800 thank you emails received and they intimated that another event hasn't been ruled out.

Received an email from Lady McAlpine today, she has confirmed that they are going to do another event next year. Details will be posted on the website soon.

Excellent news. She did say that the villagers were in support so that will have helped.
