Journalists and media representatives have been given a tour of Canary Wharf station – the most complete station on the Crossrail network.

Work is underway on the station fit out, including the timber lattice roof which will house the development’s spectacular rooftop garden.

Two thirds of the six-storey station development will be dedicated to retail. The commercial development is set to open in 2015, three years before the planned opening of Crossrail.

The new station, which is located across from the West India Quay DLR station, like Canary Wharf Tube station, is built in dock water.
