FM RAIL OPERATES ITS FIRST FREIGHT TRAIN

    FM Rail today ran its first revenue earning freight train on behalf of
    Fastline, the rail subsidiary of Jarvis.
    Andy Cox, Freight Development Manager, FM Rail said: “The running of our
    first freight train today means that there are now five railfreight
    companies operating on Britain’s railways. This is good news for customers
    and good news for the burgeoning freight market. We would like to thank
    Fastline for awarding FM Rail its first freight contract to deliver these
    brand new wagons to Fastline’s York depot.”

    The train made up of a Class 47 and 12 empty FEA flat wagons was operated on
    behalf of Fastline between Doncaster Down Decoy yard and York Yard South.

    Other freight operators are Direct Rail Services, EWS, Freightliner, and GB Railfreight.
