Recently I have been looking for an oil pourer to use on a small narrow gauge locomotive. Happily this particular need was met by J.N. Beesley but trawling the web shows that pourers and oil bottles have now entered the realm of "byegones" and their prices have inflated accordingly. Thus a pourer was going for £45 on Ebay despite having two holes in its spout. It did have the magic initials "GWR" on it though! Presumably any caches of such things left over from the stream age have been discovered. Thus, with the inevitable wear and tear on such things, steam railways are going to wake up one day to find they have a problem.
