A few Pictures from Richard Newton's annual Foxfield Bash. Weather wise the day could be split into two distinct halves. The morning was the same as the last three years, perfect winter sun but very cold, the icy rails meant that the crew would not attempt to get down the bank to the colliery until the afternoon. After lunch the fog had descended to give a very bleak and moody feel to the colliery area. The loco was the recently restored ex Bold Colliery Austerity, Whiston masquerading as a Bickershaw engine, Hurricane
