    The Foxfield Colliery pithead buildings owned by the Foxfield Railway will be open to view this Sunday in celebration of local and regional heritage.
    Come and enjoy.......

    Dubs Crane Tank in steam providing shunting and lifting demonstrations during the day.

    Guided tours of the site showing recent excavations of the pithead and learning more about the working lives of the miners at Foxfield Colliery

    Displays featuring photographs of the colliery and railway during its working days and early days of the preserved Foxfield Railway

    Chance to see the ongoing excavations and restoration works taking place

    Refreshments on sale – all proceeds to the Colliery Development Fund

    Want to be a part of it? Have you got the skills to help us complete the colliery project? Volunteer registration point.

    After you have visited the Colliery why not take the short trip round to the main station on Caverswall Road and enjoy the East European Car Rally, the buffet and the Railway's very own traditional real ale bar.
