This coming weekend, 26th and 27th September, will see the annual traction engine steam party at Foxfield. We expect 9 engines this year, not as many as last year but that was a special occasion. As well as the road steam the station bar will be holding a beer festival with at least 6 different real ales available at once and a wider variety available over the weekend.
On the railway side of things, Florence No.2 is expected to be in steam for the passenger services and Beyer Peacock 1827 will be steamed on the Saturday for a shunting competition for the road steam men to have a go! (Will they look for the steering wheel?)
All are welcome over the weekend which is a nice relaxed affair with plenty of chat to be had.
