    Look up and you see a beautiful, sweeping cathedral made of tens of thousands of iron girders coated in gallons of sky-blue paint and more than two acres of twinkling glass.

    Beneath the soaring roof, however, is a hive of activity — drills pound, saws whirr and the occasional train rumbles in and out as workmen put the finishing touches to St Pancras's 13 platforms.
