BURNLEY and Pendle Miniature Railway Society opened its railway at Thompson Park for the first time this year on Sunday.

The miniature railway, featuring steam and electric engines, will now be open every Sunday and Bank Holiday from 1pm to 4pm until the end of September. Rides are 50p per person.

The Ormerod Road park has been the miniature railway's permanent home since 2001.
