Still rumours as to the motive power for this one but sounds like 44932 is the most likely, however we should be able to confirm tomorrow, Tuesday, evening.

What do we know so far?
The diesels bringing the train from Scotland are supposed to come off at Carlisle.
UKsteam says 45699 is the rostered loco with 48151 as stand-by, but Ralph thinks it might be 44932 instead. I guess we wait and see which locos are in steam at Carnforth this afternoon?

So to another question: Are the semaphore signals still in place at Blackpool North? A friend of mine is thinking of going there tomorrow... TIA.

I wasn't expecting these first few runs with the Jubilee to go perfect after the last test run. I'm leaning towards the 8f once again. That is, Unless they have had a night with no sleep working on Galatea.

Thanks for the update Steve. Fingers crossed for all concerned that 44932 has a trouble free outing after its recent repairs.

Has anyone seen the loco this morning? According to RTT, whatever it is has arrived at Carlisle already.

Currently sitting in Preston, have been for around 20 minutes when we were also held before the station for a good 5 minutes. Being kept to wait for time.

Tour started from Kilmarnock before 6am, T&T with 47s. 44932 light to Carlisle for the run via S&C to Blackpool. Gordon Hodgson at the regulator. Few minutes late off Carlisle and despite some brisk running several slacks made the lateness worse. Watered at Hellifield and by Clitheroe were back on time and early at Blackburn, more brisk running and we were stopped outside Preston some 15 early. Ran in to the station still about 10 early but then had to wait for due time. Blackpool very sunny and very breezy. 44932 seemed to have several problems with leaky taps but by the time we reached the seaside there was only one blowing.
