Interesting that 70013 is now returning to Loughborough for a winter break and, presumably, some routine maintenance. I'm sure I read in Steam Railway that this wasn't the original plan.

Looking at the UK Steam Tours page 70013 only has one excursion booked for the rest of the year (8th Dec, Ely to Oxford and return) and then not again until 4th Feb 2012 (although that is showing with either 70013 or 45305). It probably makes sense, therefore, to bring it back to Loughborough. I'm sure the 5305la boys were hoping it would have picked up more work before Christmas, perhaps covering for other potential failures.

Anyway, will be nice to see it running over Christmas and hopefully at the GCR Winter Gala at the end of January.

70013 'Oliver Cromwell' will be hauling the 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30 services from Loughborough today. <BJ>

Can anyone confirm whether it's intended for the locos to stay on the same diagrams all week (ie Cromwell on the RMB rake) or whether they're likely to change please? Might as well have an extra hour in bed tomorrow if it's confirmed .
