GCR- Collecting the Freight Mini Gala May 15/16th

    I spent an enjoyable day yesterday on the GCR at their mini gala "Collecting the Freight". This involved four steam locos including a freshly painted George Stephenson the Jinty as well as the 04 and 8F.Quite a good half hourly service of both passenger and freight turns and the sunshine was a welcome addition.Well done to all who organised it ,it's a pity it was'nt that well attended but It appeared to be a last minute addition to the programme.Very enjoyable all the same.
