    I went to the GCR's 'Railways at Work' event yesterday Saturday 16th August 2025 thankful weather was a bit cooler, nice and fresh and overcast
    Steam Engines in use 6990 Witherslack Hall, 68067, 78019 & 73156 (which i found out when i got home failed late afternoon)

    Excellent day out with the usual antics at the re-enactment events at Quorn

    Thanks to the driver of 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier who opened up the engine through Quorn station, lovely sight, sound and smell!!

    Lots of loco movements all day even though the timetable went out the window first thing in the morning, nice re-enactment of 1960's BR HaHa!!

    Managed some out of window photos at Swithland, never managed this before

    More 1970's than '60s, but the random appearance of a period bicycle at Quorn on Saturday added to the period feel of a departing Deltic shot.............

    Presumably someone who lived locally as he cleared off after it had departed!
