"Colin Mc Andrew" should be doing the shunting demonstrations at Mountsorrel on the Saturday (14th) as well, if anyone is heading to the GCR that day.....

Still no timetable for the weekend posted, though their FB page suggested it would be on the website today...

...though it wasn't and still hasn't appeared as of 17.10 on Wed 11th...!!

The timetable for the weekend has finally been posted on the GCR website. Certainly appears to be a "Traditional" Gala with no mention of any restrictions on numbers allowed on the trains.....

73156 has failed and is replaced by 92214 for the weekend. Timetable has been updated to reflect the changes

Quite an enjoyable day there yesterday, though the rain wasn't exactly welcome in the afternoon. Not too crowded and mask wearing advised as "Indoors or when moving around on trains" but most people I saw certainly weren't bothering with the latter. Nice to have one of their breakfasts from the Griddle Car for the first time in over 18 months!

Today was blessed by good weather and there was lots of action along the railway. Quorn yard was a hive of activity and lots of porters made light work of the parcels traffic!

This film from Saturday has appeared on YT ....

I did spot that I feature on it right at the end, waiting to cross the line at Quorn!
