I don’t know what will happen may bank holiday. If I am at the railway come looking for me and I will show you esk.

That weekend is Whillan Beck’s naming so I don’t want to gate crash that. At best esk will be on the engineers head shunt or by the workshop.

Might it be an idea to have a separate thread for Esk?

I think Beck is being named and accepted into service this weekend, after which she probably won't need her own thread, however there is a lot of useful general RER info on here so possibly could be just renamed a generic RER thread after the weekend.

I often have that problem watching steam engine video's, I think its the soot that comes out the screen. ;)

Looking absolutely fantastic @Nigel Day. If you're in danger of getting bored now "Esk" is done, we could always have a whip round and get the Fairbourne's "Beddgelert" shipped up to Ravenglass for some long overdue TLC. ;)

What with "Whillan Beck", "Esk" and now "Katie"*, La'al Ratty's running dept. are going to be spoilt for choice for the first time in (???) years. Roll on that new Observation Carriage currently under construction at Blodge too.

    * Yes .... I do know it won't shift 7 up to Dalegarth .... still a very attractive little loco tho'.

Truly a wonderful sight to see that, both looking brand spanking new despite their supposed respective ages, a true testament to La'al Ratty's engineering department the both of them.

Though it is strange... the first thing that caught me out on this picture was not the locos, but the man to the right of the pic, thinking to myself just what is he eating? o_O Heh! :p

In any case, great work to all those involved, the two will no doubt serve the railway brilliantly for years to come. :)

I think it was an egg sandwich he was eating. They where drying out in the sun fast. Will check the crumbs on the running board tomorrow.

I am at home today but I hope you saw Eskie.
