    Have just contacted the GWR about volunteering, quite like the idea of being a signalman but also interested in being a diesel driver for some reason...

    ...anyways just to say what a great and highly friendly response I recieved, good first impressions! The GWR is certainly in my premier league of heritage railways!

    I'm glad your first impressions have been so good. We've been putting a lot of effort into improving communications and also volunteer liasion recently and it's reassuring to know it seems to be working.
