Consultancy GRE has been brought in to provide tender design and design management services to the consortium building a new 56-kilometre high-speed rail line between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The contract, which was awarded by the DCME-PLUS consortium, includes the design, construction and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems and slab tracks for Israel Railways new electrified corridor.

Construction has been carried out in phases since the early 2000s, with completion set for 2017.
